With terminals Alexandria and north experiencing supply issues due to the high rivers, drivers are experiencing longer hauls and extended rack delays. As we have started to feel pressure due to the longer hauls we’re also bumping close to driver maximum hours. As a result, LOMCSA has reached out to the LA Governor’s Office, LA DOTD, PMAA and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration  (FMCSA).

As a result, the FMCSA granted PMAA and LOMCSA use of the regional HOS waiver to cover Louisiana fuel supply issues.  In other words, we can use the regional HOS waiver for our (Louisiana drivers) longer hauls and longer hours and supply issues.  The waiver expires on April 18, 2019.

Affected States included in this Emergency Declaration are: Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
