Congratulations to our 2022 Scholarship Winners

Anna Gautreaux

Anna Gautreaux is the daughter of Glenn and Jennifer Gautreaux of Simmesport, Louisiana. She is the youngest of two children. She graduated from Avoyelles High School as the Salutatorian of her class with a 4.57 GPA and has 30 hours of dual enrollment. During High school, Anna was very active in her community and volunteer service projects, as well as in members of her school Beta club, 4-H Club, Interact Club, Cheer Team, Tennis Team, and Parish 4-H Junior Leader Club. She has served as a leader and organized/coordinated many service projects at her school as well as in her parish. Anna will be attending Louisiana State University of Alexandria in the fall of 2022 and will major in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Anna’s father, Glenn has been employed for St. Romain Oil in Mansura, LA for 4 years.

Josie Smith

Josie Smith graduated from Barbe high school in May with a 4.17 GPA and a class rank of 35 out of 397. Throughout high school Josie has participated in numerous clubs such as Student Council, NHS, NSHSS, and dance line, as well as volunteered amounts of hours both within her school and the community. In the fall she plans to attend Louisiana Tech University and major in Kinesiology with a minor in psychology. At Louisiana Tech Josie plans to join several organizations such as student government and greek life, as well as continue serve her new community! Post college, she plans to attend medical school to become a Neuropsychiatrist. Josie’s mom, Lori Smith, is employed at Pumpelly Oil.
